CEO: Greg Truman
Appointed CEO of Forth Dimension Displays in early 2007, Greg had been Managing Director/COO of the Company since its formation (as CRLO Displays) in September 2004. As Managing Director of its predecessor (CRL Opto) he led the successful $19 million fund raising that formed the Company. Greg is also President of Forth Dimension Displays Inc., the Company's US subsidiary.
He has also participated in the formation of other new displays companies (including Opsys and AccuScene). Prior roles have included Corporate Development Manager of Scipher plc, where he was part of the core team working on a VC fund-raising ($10 million) and, subsequently, the IPO of the Company (raising $60 million) in February 2000.
Earlier, Greg held roles in sales, marketing, R&D project management and integrated circuit design within Thorn EMI, GEC and in a joint venture in Malaysia. Greg Truman has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.
Sales Director & General Manager US: Bob Hoffman
Bob has a long track record of management and business development within the displays industry. His displays career started at Thomas Electronics before moving to Brimar Inc. (the US arm of UK displays specialist Brimar Ltd.) in 1994. His responsibilities included sales, marketing and business development in western USA and Central and South America. He has secured many new design-ins and customers for CRT and LCD products in fields such as film production, avionics, printing and head mounted displays. In July 2007, Bob joined Forth Dimension Displays as Sales Director with responsibility for the company's global sales activity. He is based in California and takes personal responsibility for the relationships with Forth Dimension Displays' large US West Coast customer base. Bob is also General Manager of Forth Dimension Displays Inc. in Valencia, CA.
Bob Hoffman holds a BS in Physics & Mathematics from Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA.
Production Director: Andrew McCue
Andrew joined Forth Dimension Displays in November 2007. An experienced operational manager, he has over 20 years experience within the operations field and has previously held senior management positions within major Japanese, US and EU multi-national companies as well as smaller enterprises indigenous to the UK.
He has extensive experience in a diversity of industries including, Semiconductors, Defence, Aerospace and Medical sectors. His career to date has afforded him exposure to and, first hand working knowledge of, the most effective operational practices and manufacturing techniques employed by these world class companies such as TPM, TQM, Lean Manufacturing, & Six Sigma. Andrew recently successfully completed his MBA studies.
Engineering Manager: Calum Dewar
Calum Dewar joined Forth Dimension Displays in July 1999 as a hardware design and development engineer. He previously worked as a research and development engineer in the Machine Vision group, part of the Scottish Agricultural College and as a development engineer for a defence contractor developing RADAR and radio navigation systems.
Calum Dewar holds an MSc in 'Digital Techniques' from Heriot-Watt University and a BSc in 'Microelectronics and Microcomputer Systems' from the University of Dundee.
Financial Controller: Michael Hay
Michael Hay has been with Forth Dimension Displays for over two years as Financial Controller. He joined the Accountancy firm of KPMG in Sheffield, qualifying in 1992 with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. In 1993 he joined TWIL Ltd, the largest wire manufacturer in the UK, as a Project Accountant. Subsequently he moved to Scotland to take up the post of Management Accountant in Bekaert Handling Ltd, a subsidiary company of TWIL and the largest manufacturer of materials handling equipment in the UK. He is currently the Financial Controller of Forth Dimension Displays.
Michael Hay holds a degree in Statistics from Aberdeen University.
