As shown in the diagram above, there has been an evolution from 3-channel systems to low-cost, high quality, single channel systems. Our microdisplay enables optical engine manufacturers to reduce their bill of materials, without compromising image quality.

The optical engine is an electro-optical system capable of generating full colour, scalable projected images. As a core component of an optical engine, the microdisplay delivers high definition images at a fraction of the price of competing technologies.

Pocket-Projection

Projectors capable of producing large, vivid images have been around for many years. Traditionally, these projectors have been large, heavy and inconvenient to transport. Revolutionary advances in miniaturisation now mean the stage is set to change with the introduction of new types of miniature projectors, these are often referred to as Pocket Projectors or Micro-Projectors.

Compact, lightweight and portable, these Pocket Projectors project high quality images at a price that is affordable for consumers. Our microdisplay is ideal for Pocket Projection. Combine the small size of our microdisplay, a simple optical path and suitable illumination (i.e. LED or Lasers) and you have the ideal solution. Full colour images over 40" can be projected onto a surface using our microdisplay as the core component in the Pocket Projector.
