Digital Printing

In the competitive arena of film printing, companies are constantly investing in new ways to utilise existing equipment to meet the new demands of the digital age. One option is to replace negative film carriers with Digital Imaging Print Carriers. Not only are these digital carriers enablers of new technology, they also provide significant benefits in terms of reducing cost and time.

Our high resolution microdisplay can be integrated into the Digital Imaging Print Carrier, producing high quality film prints within specified exposure times.

Data Storage

Holographic data storage combines the technologies of volume data recording and holography. When information is stored throughout the volume of the recording medium, a far greater storage density can be achieved compared to traditional surface recording technologies. In addition, the holographic approach allows very fast data transfer rates as information is stored a "page" at a time instead of one bit at a time. The ForthDD all-digital, high-speed microdisplay technology enables the lossless high-speed data transfer that is required for this demanding application.

Our microdisplay is capable of showing binary images, making it ideal for use in coherent applications including Spatial Light Modulation (SLM) and holography. One possible application of the latter is data storage.
