At Photonics West 2020 in San Francisco (4-6 February 2020, Moscone Centre) Forth Dimension Displays will present its expanding range of Spatial Light Modulators (SLM) and microdisplays.
The high resolution SLMs based on ferroelectric liquid crystal technology are known for their fast and stable structured light applications using binary phase modulation or binary amplitude modulation.
Please visit Booth 1841 – South Hall inside the Scottish Pavilion- to experience the 2k x 2k, 4.1MPixel microdisplay integrated into a monoviewer. We will also present a structured light projector and a binary phase modulation set-up.
4th July 2019 – Forth Dimension Displays is pleased to be sponsoring this years FLC conference in Boulder, Colorado.
Due to be held between 4 – 7 August 2019 at the University of Colorado in Boulder, the conference brings together leading experts in the field of Ferroelectric Liquid Crystals (FLC). Boulder has been one of the hotbeds of research into physics, chemistry and applications of FLCs for over 30 years. Forth Dimension Displays’ microdisplays and spatial light modulators (SLM) are based on the electro-optics of FLCs. Therefore, it is very befitting to support continuous research into the fascinating properties of this material. At this conference Forth Dimension Displays will be sponsoring the Best Student Poster Award.
At Laser – World of Photonics in Munich (24 – 27 June 2019, Messe München) Forth Dimension Displays will present its updated range of Spatial Light Modulators (SLM) and microdisplays with new interface options.
The high resolution SLMs are known for their fast and stable structured light applications using binary phase modulation or binary amplitude modulation.
Please visit Hall B2 – Booth 129 to experience our new 2k x 2k, 4.1 MPixel microdisplay integrated into a 34° field of view monoviewer for high-end Near-To-Eye applications (AR, MR) applying the unique Time Domain Imaging technology.
Visit Forth Dimension Displays / Kopin at SPIE DCS 2019!
Kopin, a provider of high performance display components, subsystems and systems for the military, industrial, professional, medical and training markets, will be exhibiting at SPIE DCS 2019 from April 16-18th at the Baltimore Convention Center. Stop by booth #553 to see our latest high performance ruggedized microdisplay solutions.
Kopin’s offerings include LCD, FLCOS and OLED displays designed for high performance, long life and high reliability in demanding environments. Kopin’s display products are ideally suited for use in high brightness AR products, such as pilots’ helmets, rifle scopes, soldier visualization systems, image guided surgery and synthetic/embedded training.
Forth Dimension Displays’ specific products on the booth are the new 2k x 2k FLCOS, the RGB LED illuminator and a 3D demonstrator of the QXGA 2048 x 1536 pixel microdisplay.
Spatial Light Modulators for Phase Modulation and for Structured Light Projectors used in 3D Optical Metrology applications will be presented by Forth Dimension Displays on Photonix show in Tokyo Makuhari, Japan from 5.-7. December 2018.
The Photonix show is the comprehensive show for Laser, Optics and Optical Measuring in Japan, consisting of 3 different exhibitions specialising in laser processing, optics and optical measuring/analytical technology.
Renowned for its fast and precise performance, the 1.3 MPixel SLM will be demonstrated. As pictured below, the just released metrology-specific interface R12 with size-matching high power LED driver enabled a significant shrink in mechanical volume of the off-axis projector and improved projector performance. The brightness increased by 100%, so camera exposure times for in-line 3D AOI, 3D SPI and 3D MOI are significantly reduced. In 2019, a square 4 MPixel, 2k x 2k SLM will be introduced for the next generation projectors able to resolve even finer structures than today.
Structured Light Projectors and Spatial Light Modulators for 3D Optical Metrology applications will be presented by Forth Dimension Displays on Booth 1A89 at the VISION show in Stuttgart, Germany from 6.-8. November 2018.
Renowned for its fast and precise performance, 1.3 MPixel and 3.1 MPixel SLMs will be demonstrated. As pictured below, the just released metrology-specific interface R12 with size-matching high power LED driver enabled a significant shrink in mechanical volume of the off-axis projector and improved projector performance with the 1.3 MPixel, SXGA SLM. The brightness increased by 100%, so camera exposure times for in-line 3D AOI and 3D SPI are significantly reduced. A square 4 MPixel, 2k x 2k SLM can be previewed for the next generation projectors able to resolve even finer structures than today.
Forth Dimension Displays will be showing its product portfolio of fast, high resolution Spatial Light Modulators (SLM) at the ILOPE show in China International Exhibition Centre, Beijing from 11 to 13th October.
Forth Dimension Displays’ VP of Sales and Marketing, Henning Molsen, will be present at the booth to meet customers.
He and the team from AUnion Tech will explain the benefits of ferroelectric LCoS technology for fast bit plane sequencing applications by structuring light in amplitude modulation and binary phase modulation.
Popular academic applications include super resolution microscopy using light sheets using binary phase modulation.
Industrial application are dominated by 3D optical metrology using 8 bit amplitude modulation.
ForthDD’s team is about to depart for the Nepcon South China exhibition, the leading show for PCB inspection equipment in the Hong Kong area. Held from 29 – 31 August 2017 in Shenzhen, ForthDD will meet current and new customers engaged in the field of 3D optical metrology like 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and 3D Solder Paste Inspection (SPI).
The 1.3MPixel SXGA-3DM SLM has a leading position in the in-line 3D AOI PCB inspection and measurement market. Integrated in structured light projectors it’s showing multi-frequency Moiré patterns at speeds enabling in-line inspection. The more recent 2048 x 1536 pixel QXGA-3DM SLM builds upon this track record by enabling even higher resolution structured light projectors to be built.
The SXGA-3DM and the QXGA-3DM combine an industry proven SLM technology with a specific non-video drive interface dedicated to metrology applications. The drive interface is capable of storing up to 1024 full resolution images. Bi-directional trigger signals ensure accurate synchronization with other system components such as cameras, light sources and translation tables.
