The Photonix show is the comprehensive show for Laser, Optics and Optical Measuring in Japan, consisting of 3 different exhibitions specialising in laser processing, optics and optical measuring/analytical technology.
Renowned for its fast and precise performance, the 1.3 MPixel SLM will be demonstrated. As pictured below, the just released metrology-specific interface R12 with size-matching high power LED driver enabled a significant shrink in mechanical volume of the off-axis projector and improved projector performance. The brightness increased by 100%, so camera exposure times for in-line 3D AOI, 3D SPI and 3D MOI are significantly reduced. In 2019, a square 4 MPixel, 2k x 2k SLM will be introduced for the next generation projectors able to resolve even finer structures than today.
Integration into a commercial off-axis projector

The more recent 2048 x 1536 pixel QXGA-3DM SLM builds upon this track record by enabling even higher resolution structured light projectors to be built.
The SXGA-3DM and the QXGA-3DM combine an industry proven SLM technology with a specific non-video drive interface dedicated to metrology applications. The drive interface is capable of storing up to 1024 full resolution images. Bi-directional trigger signals ensure accurate synchronization with other system components such as cameras, light sources and translation tables.
